How It Works

Networkfleet™ is the first commercially available aftermarket system that dynamically measures and reports the status of a vehicle's diagnostic performance. Once installed in a vehicle, our patented system collects diagnostic data from a host vehicle's on-board computer and location information from a global positioning system (GPS) and transmits these data over a conventional wireless network to an Internet-based computer system. The computer system analyzes the data and posts the results on a secure web site.

How does Networkcar process the in-vehicle data?

Our back-end software system automatically extracts and analyses diagnostic and location information sent from the in-vehicle unit. A software system automatically analyses diagnostic data from the database with a series of calculations to determine properties such as: vehicle alerts, emissions status, fuel efficiency and fuel consumed, historical and present vehicle speed, and historical analysis of diagnostic information to monitor vehicle problems.

Similarly, the software system includes calculations that analyze location information to determine the vehicle's location (using a map and numerical street address), vehicle tracks, driving directions, and landmarking applications. All analyses are done either automatically or following user-initiated commands.

What types of vehicles can be equipped with Networkfleet?

Networkfleet is a universal solution that can be installed on any type of vehicle. This includes Class 1-3 passenger cars and light-duty trucks, Class 4-6 medium-duty and light-heavy duty trucks and Class 8 heavy-duty trucks. Networkfleet is able to provide remote diagnostics data on 1996 and newer cars/light trucks and 1988 and newer heavy trucks. Networkfleet interfaces with ISO, J1708 and CAN protocols.

GPS Tracking

Can being able to accurately locate a vehicle really provide a benefit to my business?

Absolutely. Networkfleet™ merges GPS technology with affordable wireless coverage. The result is easily accessible information on a vehicle's location, stops, idling and mileage that can be quickly analyzed to yield benefits in efficiency and cost reductions. The operations side of your business can make your fleet run more smoothly by accessing GPS location information. Locate any vehicle, anytime, anywhere - 24/7

Many terms are used in the industry today to describe sophisticated vehicle tracking technologies such as telematics, automatic vehicle location (AVL) systems, and global positioning systems (GPS). These technologies now enable fleet managers to have convenient point-and-click access to an entire fleet and a window into the activities of each fleet vehicle.
